fluorescent fireworks dance in the palms of our hands,
like pearls in the dead of night. let us lose ourselves
to the chemical gleam, the carefree luminosity of living.
we shine brighter than the moon, still quietly observing
the soft hues painted on our faces. remember the neon
coursing through our blood. illuminate this moment.
clasp its every tint. let it last forever in our fingers,
as our histories intertwine for one more day.
