The Last Time

Maham Jamil, Pakistan

your knuckles brushing into mine,

while we walk through,

cacophony of leaves rustling,

the moon at top of us,

the stars pointing towards our destiny,

you pull my hair behind my ear,

rest my head on your shoulder,

we step through the stairs,

on roof we end,

serenity,

bullet shots,

in the time,

eyes stare,

and we take our last breath.
